Derek, along with Steven Beane, Ricky Hilton and Nigel Fennell, formed 'Team GB' and travelled to Kentucky for the 2018 World Horseshoeing Classic.  Last year’s Champions, they posted consistently impressive scores, but lost out on the championship this time to finish a very impressive 4th overall. Team GB was one of 7 teams that travelled from the UK, being beaten only by Team Scotland who finished in 3rd. The competition was tough, incredibly well organised and they had a superb time. Derek will be returning to the World Horseshoeing Classic once more to defend the title. "3 days, 18 teams, 72 farriers, one prize -- WORLD CHAMPIONS". Taking place on 21st - 24th February 2018 in Kentucky Derek will be one of the team of four which includes Steven Beane, Nigel Fennell and Ricky Hilton. Ricky takes Darren Bazin's place this year and it has been great to have him back out competing again!
