BFBA National Championship Derek Gardner Farrier Competition Grant Watt
This time last week we were at the BFBA National Championships. Derek judged the Royal Bath and West farriery competition, which this year included the British Farriers and Blacksmiths Association National Championships, alongside Andy Reader-Smith AWCF. We had a thoroughly enjoyable four days, well done to all those who were placed and huge congratulations to Grant Watt, 2019 National Champion, and his striker Jack Casserly who got to take home the Derek Gardner Sledgehammer! Derek Gardner Farrier Clinic Farrier Competition Gary Darlow Norwegian Farrier Association
Derek is off to Norway at the beginning of March. This is for a private farrier clinic and a further clinic for the Norwegian Farrier Association () in Starum.. March 21st - 23rd is the new BFBA Scottish Branch Competition, to be held at the Royal Highland Showground. Derek will be judging the Open classes alongside Gary Darlow AFCL. 2019 has got off to a flying start with a flurry of orders and dates in the diary. It is so good to hear feedback on our products, and especially when it has been so positive! A competition for apprentices is being organised at Gary Darlow's forge in Over Peover, Cheshire and Derek will be judging! This will be great preparation for the Diploma exam and will be an educational event with good feedback. Entries close 10th August 2018.
